When I began this blog back in April, I had just decided being a full time musician wasn't for me, and I was meant to be a teacher. My plan at that time was to continue substitute teaching for a school year, work hard to finish grad school, and hopefully get a job for the following (2015-2016) school year.
With this as my plan, I thought starting a blog would be easy. I would be busy, but I could handle it. I would write mostly about technology in grad school, and then as I got my own classroom, I would start writing about the technology I was using on a daily basis.
Fortunately, nothing went according to plan.
In August, I was blessed to take an interim sub (aka full time teaching) position in Kindergarten. Then in October, I started an actual full time teaching position in 2nd grade replacing a teacher who decided to retire mid year. All of this was while taking that course load I was going to have while only working part time. Needless to say, I have had no time for anything. Especially a blog.
What has been nice is the experience I've had in the classroom trying new tools, establishing workflows, and coming up with ideas for blog content. I plan on spending a lot of time over Christmas break writing up this content and getting it set to post in the new year. The blog is not dead! It will return better than ever very soon.
