Apple's newest operating system for the Mac will be released today. I've been running the beta since July, and have been impressed. It stands on the legacy of Snow Leopard improving on Leopard and Mountain Lion improving on Lion. El Capitan feels like Yosemite, completed. It has been quite stable for me even as a beta, is fast, and brings a few really nice features for users.
I am not going to write a long review of El Capitan. Some of my favorite bloggers have already done that. Check out their reviews here:
Unless you have software you absolutely need to get work done that is not yet compatible with El Cap, this is an easy update for me to recommend. For tips on what to do before to get your computer ready for the update, check out Katie Floyd's great blog post.
